Spring Flooding along Kennebecasis River

We had the opportunity this past week to join with members of another local church and with people from Hampton to fill sand bags at Dutch Point Park.  These sand bags help protect homes from the exceptionally high flooding this spring.  There were over 25 people that night aged from 5 - 70 holding bags, shovelling sand, closing them up with zip ties, and helping load vehicles.

After the flood waters recede, there will be opportunities to help remove sand bags again like we did last year in Quispamsis, or clean up the debris left behind as things dry up.

Ask God to give you ideas of what He wants you to do to be His hands to help people who need it this spring.  Whether it is something big or small, every act of kindness will be a blessing to others!
